Ballet Folklorico Orgullo Mestizo is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the performing arts of Mexico in the realms of traditional dance. Orgullo Mestizo was founded in 1998, and is based in the beautiful city of Fontana, California. Samuel Gonzalez and Isabel Diaz, the directors of this wonderful company, continuously strive towards their primary goal of portraying their Mexican heritage through the art of dance. Since its inception, Samuel Gonzalez who serves as artistic director, has guided Orgullo Mestizo to its current and high reputable status. Under his direction, Orgullo Mestizo performs and characterizes traditional Mexican folkloric dances through a unique and innovative fusion of traditional dance with a theatrical twist. The result of this interesting combination has allowed audiences to appreciate the richness and beauty that defines Mexico.
